The most common cause of male LUTSÂ is benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). BPH is a benign tumour that grows on the inside of the prostate and may cause a degree of obstruction to the flow of urine through the prostate. In some men the obstruction becomes total and catheterisation is required.
Mr Tev Aho is a consultant urological surgeon who specialises in the treatment of male LUTS and urinary retention. He has developed expertise in this area since 2002 and has an international reputation for Holmium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate (HoLEP) and is the most experienced HoLEP surgeon in the UK.
He is also experienced in and offers the minimally invasive rezum and urolift procedures
